A picture is worth a thousand words, they say.

No, that’s not Conan O’Brien, it’s Brady Wright, our first quarter’s top seller on the Unity Asset Store! If you’re not familiar with his products, check out EZ-GUI and Sprite Manager.

You too can win an 8′  x 2′ check and utterly perplex your bank teller! Submit your content to the Unity Asset Store!

A huge congratulations,  Brady, from all of us at Unity Technologies.

Looks like it might rain in that pic, Brady. You can buy a huge umbrella with that check. Or submarine!

You should make it possible to browse the asset store without making to log in (or create an account). I bet a lot of people haven’t registered because they can’t see what’s available.

Contragulations, Brady!

We use EZGUI on our project, and it’s pretty damn fantastic. The support he gives on his forums is also great.

You deserve it =)

That’s pretty inspirational. Good work, fella! (But I agree, Unity needs to make the Asset store more easily accessable.. I stumbled over there for the first time and was like, “So THIS is what they were talking about…Coolness!”)

@Rich – yes, browsing – you can’t even link to the asset store, from, say, Unity Answers… so, there is an Asset For That… just get an account and log in and go here and…. goodness gratious,
I’ll make it myself!

Check out how Filter Forge does it. Far more content, all free, all visible online, and a vibrant community enriching each others work (the big loss from commercial quarantining).

Of course well done Brady, youre a great contributor, but really the Asset store is a very naive take on the Apple AppStore – middleware extensions for middleware is a microscopic market by comparison, and arguably better servered by collaborative community efforts, which it instead discourages… I certainly worry about the future of both of the 2 shader editors.

Sorry, call me a cynic or a communist, but I think community developers, Brady very much included, get far more satisfaction from helping others to be creative than from big cheques and balloons. It’s nice to get a $$ reward for that, but let’s not forget the costs to the community in lost opportunity for collaboration.
