Zynga goes exclusive with Unity

This partnership gives Zynga access to Unity’s world class advertising platform, which serves more than 25 billion ad requests per month to more than 1 billion unique players around the world. This partnership exemplifies Unity’s commitment to enable developer success by moving the mobile in-app ad marketplace from waterfall mediation of multiple software development kits (SDK’s) to a unified auction of all advertising demand.     If I look around me to people playing games is that they watch a advert, close it and get a reward. They don’t bother installing the other games mostly as why should they? They are busy playing the game they are in at the moment.
    Its a bit like google. You search for a product to find the best buy and you decide to buy it.Lets say a phone. Then Google decides to show you for days after the same phones and other phones why you already bought the damn phone so the adverts are no longer relevant.
    The adverts should show for example phone accessories.

    For games that is a bit harder i suppose but for a game that woman play mostly where the character can dress up and stuff show commercials involving cloth shops, Guys playing car games show car adverts etc. If they love to dress up the game car. show car part shops etc. You get the drift! (No pun intended).

    I therefore would like to see a advert system showing OTHER (No games ) commercials related to the game topic and player interest within the game rather then YET an other game to install.

  2. I’d be interested to see some comparison data after a month or so of implementation to see how it performs for them. I was contacted a while back from you guys trying to persuade me to move away from mediation. Although eCPM is consistently up while utilising mediation, I am willing to run with Unity Ads alone in my next project to measure results. Always keen to try new things, and it will certainly be simpler running with one SDK/Dashboard. Anyway, the data will tell the story. At the end of the day, it all comes down to money in the bank.
