What’s covered in the Expert Gameplay Programmer exam
The Expert Gameplay Programmer exam certifies that you have the advanced skills necessary to effectively execute game design and optimize a game. Topics covered include: Prototyping (Core Gameplay for Rapid Iteration), Level Design Programming, NPC Design Programming, User Interface Implementation, Performance Optimization and Target Platforms, and Unity Services Implementation.
This certification is recommended for people who have experience designing immersive, web/mobile, and digital games and understand the full game lifecycle, working from early concept through launch. This certification is right for you if you have a rich understanding of all aspects of game design (level, non-player characters [NPCs], game mechanics) and game asset and animation pipelines, including character and environment setups. You should also have a good knowledge of scripting/programming using C#, experience designing for and implementing Unity Services, and solid organizational skills.
