The Unity Asset Store turns 10: Here’s how we’re celebrating

, October 22, 2020

We’ve created super-discounted mega bundles to showcase a decade of awesome assets – and the killer games creators have made with them.

On November 11th, Asset Store turns 10 years old. In that time we’ve grown to over 60,000 assets, with millions of users saving potentially billions of hours. Over 11,000 publishers produce this killer content.

Over the past decade, the Asset Store has been the go-to source for valuable, time-saving and project-finishing art, extensions, and more for Unity users. From solo game devs to AAA studios, the Unity Asset Store helps power amazing projects of all kinds. We’re excited to bring you Asset Store X, a mega bundle sale featuring assets from the past 10 years that remain as valuable today as they were when they were released.

Through November 12th, we’re offering over 95% off 20 of our favorite assets from the past decade. Age doesn’t mean a thing for these assets, which have been consistently supported and updated for each major Unity release. Grab a few, or grab them all – this Mega Bundle offer has something for everyone.

Tier 1: Get started for $9.99

Our first group of assets features creatures from long-time publishers Protofactor and Polygonmaker, GOLEM and Fantasy Horde – Orc. Both of these have been updated since release to keep pace with evolving rendering and player expectations. Oak Trees Package, originally released in 2011, continues to look great in 2020, and now includes wind and shaders for HDRP.

Rounding out this group, composer John Leonard French brings us 21 professionally mastered tracks and loops in The Combat Collection PRO Edition, and BitGem provides Micro Monster & Heroes Pack Low Poly – essential elements to create a truly immersive experience for your players.

Tier 2: Get more for just $24.99

Our next group of assets includes amazing game-ready art like Frozen GUI Pack, a mobile-friendly UI pack with an approachable winter theme, and the insanely popular Top-Down Assets by ManufacturaK4. We love ‘em for their spot-on graphics, and especially the detailed, painstakingly crafted demo scene in Top-Down Assets. This is the kind of demo scene that lets you work on your project right away, as it’s fully usable.

Also updated for HDRP, UI – Builder from Beffio is a vast library of UI elements designed for easy assembly into custom UI experiences. It’s a must-have for your asset arsenal. This group finishes with Tower Defense Toolkit 4, a powerful one-and-done system for creating tower defense games, and PoolManager, a tool to increase performance by helping you to manage instances more efficiently.

Tier 3: Get everything for just $35.99

The final group contains 10 assets you may have already heard about. We have art tools, which help you produce graphics or other art in your project, with Procedural UI Image and UniStorm, a powerful dynamic sky, weather, and cloud system, plus SUIMONO Water System to create interactive water effects in your scenes.

It’s great when assets used together are more powerful than they are alone, and that’s definitely the case for this set. Edy’s Vehicle Physics, a popular tool for vehicle racing physics, combines perfectly with EasyRoads3D Pro v3 and Master Audio: AAA Sound. To keep the racing theme going, we also have Toon Racing by SICS Games.

Editor extensions have always been the most popular type of asset on the store. Two of the best are included in this mega bundle. First, SimpleSQL brings SQLite integration to your game, providing more flexibility with how you store and utilize game data. Script Inspector 3 is a fast, advanced IDE seamlessly integrated inside the Unity Editor.

Finally we have Vectrosity, released in the first month of the Asset store by Starscene Software. This line-drawing utility does everything, from simple lines to full 3D vector graphics. User Dreamora wrote their review 10 years ago, and it holds true today: “If you are in need of a library that fulfills any kind job in relations to lines and curves, there is definitely no way around Vectrosity. It’s easy to use, flexible, powerful and extremely fast and you won’t regret the investment.”

So many amazing tools, art packs, complete projects, and other assets have been produced by the publisher community in the past decade. Countless games exist today only because the Asset Store was available for devs who couldn’t or didn’t want to reinvent the wheel.

We can’t wait to see what happens in the next 10 years.

At first glance, I would agree. But there are some Gems here with a pedigree as some of these assets are now 8 years old but still being regularly updated and have 5-star reviews. If you don’t already have half of these then it’s a great buy.

We’ve corrected this issue and you should now be receiving UI Builder if you bought the appropriate bundle.

Hey team, same boat here. I bought the bundle but don’t have UI builder in my assets. The rest of the bundle shows as owned. What’s the plan to fix this up?

UI Builder now shows as part of the bundle, but doesn’t show as a purchased asset. Can you guys fix it, so that people that bought the bundle before the “hiccup”, automatically get UI Builder added to their assets?, thanks!

I see the same thing. I bought the complete bundle this morning but I don’t have UI Builder in my bundle?

There is a problem tho. People who purchased bundle before your changes didn’t receive UI Builder licenses. Will you handle it in bulk or should I open support ticket? Would prefer first solution because Unity support is already overloaded and I takes 2 weeks to get any response.

It is visible to me on that link, shown on the 2nd tier along with Poolmanager, Tower Defense Toolkit Frozen GUI pack and Top down assets, however I also didn’t get the asset in my asset list. Clicking that link shows all assets greyed out as purchased, except for UI Builder!
I’ve opened a ticket to see what’s going on. They shouldn’t advertise the bundle to include items that aren’t actually included.

Apologies for the confusion! Bit of a hiccup, but UI Builder should now show up as being part of the bundle.

From what I see in the Threads the tier 2 SPACE asset was replaced with UI builder maybe there was a limited number of licenses – but since there is a $10+ cost/value difference -between the assets- I think UI builder should be given to those that purchased before the swap or at min a discounted coupon – I could buy a 2nd tier bundle again for 24.99 vs the UI builder cost of 55.00 – but that just does not feel right ..
