Some of you have gotten in touch with us, asking for a tutorial on what is required to submit your content to the Asset Store. So we have made you the video above on the current procedure for submitting content to us. Even better news is that we are currently improving the procedure to make things even easier for you to get your content to us – and rest assured that when we change the procedure you’ll see yet another video tutorial showing you exactly what we need you to do. Why not have a go at submitting something you’ve made? Who knows? you could be the next this guy.

@Will I agree with you if you want to post a model or even a complete project but let’s say one is submiting a script for character movement or a package to build MMOs or a framework to access amazon dyanmo DB. then you either need it or not. images are not a big deal.
surely it’s not a big deal to create 3 images if you are submitting 10000 lines of code to the store.

Whilst technically entirely possible within Unity, it is worth noting that ideally, what you see here in the video and in the key image templates is mostly a guide. Looking at the most popular items on the store, they make use of good looking artwork, and something created with a default design tool may be lost amongst the masses of content on the store, so it really is worth taking the time to create something. Thanks for the suggestion though, we’ll look into it.

some development focused teams might not always have artists available. It’s a good idea to have a free tool which takes 2 colors and a title and a small shot of the package and generate all key images. It’s really enough for most packages. Maybe it’s my fault and laziness but i don’t want to open gimp to do this stuff as a developer.

@kryptos- are you still seeing this? It may just have been bad as you might have viewed it right after upload- checked just now it looks fine from here?

I don’t know what I’m missing, but it says” So we have made you the video above on the current procedure for submitting content to us. ” I do not see any video above. And I am having the same problem as GoodWin; my Package Manager just says Loading forever. I REALLY WANT TO KNOW WHY! Please help me!!!!

I tried to use the package manager and there was nothing there except a account setting option please help it my first time using the unity web site and im confuse i look at your tutorial video and others and nothing work please help

Was wondering if anyone else has had a problem with getting the AssetStore Tools Package Manager to work. When I start it up just the window comes up and it says “Loading…” and then nothing else happens :(

Nice tutorial. However, what about people who can’t afford a copy of photoshop? How about a Gimp tutorial?

more steps than I expected, but now there’s a clear guide I’ll definitely have a go putting some of my stuff up on there!
