在最近更新的版本中,Unity Cloud Build多了一些酷炫的新功能,我们希望这些新功能可以帮助开发者们加快并简化工作流程。

高级构建设置

对博客中“Unity实验室(In the Labs)”系列的自定义发布设置一直有浓厚兴趣的开发者们,我们在Unity Cloud Build中提供了类似的功能:自动根据平台预处理和后处理项目,并创建自定义脚本定义。也就是说,Unity Cloud Build可以执行一组用于发布iOS平台的指令,与此同时还可以执行另外的用于发布Android或Web平台的指令集。

 

调试或开发构建

在开发者的强烈要求下,我们添加了对.DSYM类型文件的支持,大家使用Unity Cloud Build时可以结合该文件来测试或调试游戏。

 

Cloud Build Manifest

Unity Cloud Build Manifest文件在构建时被植入游戏,并提供运行时访问构建相关的数据的密钥。例如,出于调试的目的,你可以在初始画面上显示当前游戏的版本号。我们相信,你们都能充分地利用这些数据来实现自己的目的。

 

外部XCODE框架支持

对于那些依赖于外部Xcode框架的开发者来说,我们建议使用Xcode Manipulation API,它能帮助你更清晰地与依赖库进行交互。而且它能与Unity Cloud Build完美结合!

 

UNITY 4.6 BETA

我们已经在开放测试的Unity 4.6 Beta版加入了Cloud Build的支持。并且Unity 5发布时也会支持Cloud Build。

 

XCODE 6

使用Xcode6可以将项目发布到IOS平台。

  1. Please add mercurial support. With large files in gaming projects, it’s very hard to switch to a different version control system. We’ve tried for a month to convert our project from bitbucket mercurial to github without success. Errors left and right. Please add mercurial support.

  4. What about adding Unity3d build to MS Visual Studio Online? Would be very nice.

  5. But what about desktop builds? I see this advertised a lot for mobile games, but it would be pretty awesome for PC games as well.

    1. Yes, eventually we will have support for desktop builds. But we have not announced a timeline for this yet.

    when will Unity Cloud be out of beta (approximately)?

  9. Why is it that people are enthusiastic about something that should have been possible from the start by making the builder accessible from command line?
    I want to integrate my project in my existing pipeline on whatever server I want.
    The NIH is strong within Unity.

    1. Actually, Cloud Build uses the Unity editor’s command line options to make builds. http://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/CommandLineArguments.html

      @boris, but that’s been possible in Unity since forever. You can run editor in batch mode and tell it to do pretty much whatever you want – build a game, or execute any custom editor code.

  11. I’m very interested in using this, but I’d like to know what the planned pricing would be beyond beta. Are you leaning towards free for Pro users, or will be cost extra?

    1. We haven’t announced any pricing plans yet, but we’ve stated that there will be a free level of service for non-Pro users.

    Quite enthusiastic about this, but we’re using Mercurial for all our projects. Any news on support for that? :)

    1. I have the same question. When will we see support for Mercurial repos? The cloud build looks like an awesome set of tools, but I’m not going to migrate the version control on my project just to try it out.

  13. are the unity 4.2 and 4.4 version are both the same code because I’m using 4.2 unity code and I’m afraid that the code will be change in the new version of unity 4.4 … i hope you can answer my question
