Update: After much thought and deliberation, we have made the difficult decision to pull out of GDC 2020. The current conditions with COVID-19 (also known as Novel Coronavirus) present too much risk. We do not want any Unity employee or partner to compromise their health and safety unnecessarily. We will no longer have a physical presence with a booth, and will instead showcase the great GDC content we’ve been working towards online. Expect more details in the coming weeks.

---

Whether you’re making your first game or have years under your belt, join us for a highly rewarding GDC, the world’s largest professional game-industry event.

Unity has a rich experience in store for you at GDC 2020. To start, we know that creating a successful game is a journey that doesn’t stop when you build and launch. That’s why we’ll have the experts, speakers, and partners to guide you at any or every step of your journey. Whether you’re looking for information about features, workflows or services, we’ll have what you need – including many engine-agnostic solutions – to help you create, operate, and monetize your game.

Get started at the Unity booth

The place to start your GDC journey is the Unity booth, where Unity and partner experts will be available all week to meet with you one-on-one. They’ll be ready to help you no matter if you’re looking for information on the latest features for artists, time-saving techniques, user acquisition tactics, ad/IAP strategies, game analytics, cloud-based hosting, integrated voice comms or any other game-related subject.

All week long in the booth we’ll also be offering dozens of informative sessions and pop-up tech talks on a huge cross-section of topics and trends in game development and the gaming industry. To help you plan your week, see below for information on the different sessions available.

Our booth will also be chockablock with Unity games from around the world. You’ll have a chance to meet with the creators and play some of the hottest new titles available. See below for the full list. And if that’s not enough excitement for you, we’ll be showcasing popular Unity demos like The Heretic and Lost Crypt, giving you a chance to go behind the scenes with the teams that developed them.

Sessions at the Unity Theater

During the week there will be over 30 sessions at the Unity Theater on various topics such as artists tools, DOTS, multiplayer services, monetization, and machine learning/AI from experts from Unity, Microsoft, Sony, Google, NVIDIA, and more. You can find the full sessions schedule on our GDC page.

Can’t make it to GDC? No worries! All the Unity Theater sessions will be recorded and we will be livestreaming some sessions on Unity3d.com, YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, Twitter (Periscope), and Mixer. Livestreaming details to come.

Play Unity games and meet their creators

Experience the latest made with Unity games by creators from around the world. Be among the first to play new and unreleased games like Wasteland 3 (inXile Entertainment) and Ori and the Will of the Wisps (Moon Studios).

You will also have the opportunity to connect with and learn from creators of games like Where Cards Fall (The Game Band), Battle Planet – Judgement Day (Threaks), Assemble with Care (ustwo games), Pascal’s Wager (TipsWorks), Recompile (Phigames), The Architect: Paris (Enodo Games), SEED (Klang), and The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross (FUNNYPAW).

Interested in a challenge? The developers of GTFO (10 Chambers Collective) and Shadowgun War Games (MADFINGER Games) will be onsite and may join you for a round of competitive play!

There’ll be Unity experts galore to inform, educate, and inspire you throughout the week.

Join a Unity roundtable

Interested in giving us your feedback? Have your voice heard by participating in roundtables to discuss Unity products, features, and roadmaps. The format will be a small-group discussion with a few Unity employees. Your feedback will give us valuable insights into how we can help you be successful in your current and future projects. Sign up to participate.

Keep the fun going with Unity After Dark

When the expo closes, it doesn’t mean your time with Unity at GDC is over. Back by popular demand, we’ve planned two lively evenings at some of our favorite bars in the downtown area where you can continue to network with Unity employees and fellow developers. Don’t have a GDC badge? That’s okay – just say “Game on” at the door to get in on the fun.
