Hi all!

You can also download here for iOS and Android.

Why is this a great opportunity?

In addition to game ads, this update* to the Unity Ads platform brings a whole new network of ads to your games. It provides you with brand advertisers competing, and paying top dollar, to advertise in YOUR game — boosting global fill rates, eCPMs, and ARPDAU!

We’re dedicated to helping developers like you succeed, so you can keep doing what you love — making fantastic games! With that in mind, we’d like to make sure this update is as easy and painless as possible. You can find all the information you need — whether you’re a native Unity user, on iOS, or Android. The following help guides will show how simple it is to integrate:

The sooner you download this update, the sooner you’ll start earning even more revenue. Get started now to make sure your network is ready and waiting for the peak traffic of the holiday season, which is right around the corner.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are using a mediation partner, you must first get the latest version of the mediation SDK from that supplier. You must also make sure that the package supports Unity Ads 2.0.

As always, you can go to our forums and your Unity Ads dashboard to get personalized help every step of the way. If you have any questions, please contact us at unityads-support@unity3d.com

*In this release, there’s a small, lightweight SDK required to download. Soon, this feature will be built into the Unity Editor where it’s as easy as flipping a switch to turn on video ads.

  1. I was making $1 or more a day with admob. I switched over to unity ads and have mad 38 cent all year. The problem is that 1) the user must watch an ad, click and install it. Watching is not enough. 2) The same ads get run over and over. If a user has watched the ad or installed it, he can’t install again.

So someone explain why can’t it be like TV or radio where you get paid by the number of viewers/listeners. Just give us 5 cent for each watched ad. Right now it seems a bit shaddy.

    1. Hi, with brand ads, it’s not a cost per install structure. Rather, a cost per impression. In other words, when a brand ad is shown, the publisher automatically will earn revenue. When a game ad is shown, the publisher will earn revenue when the player installs the game. Hope this helps!

      1. How does this difference tie into rewarded video ads?

So if a player gets shown a brand video ad for a reward, does it need to be completed, or is just an impression good enough?

And if a player is shown a game ad, do they only get rewarded if they click on the video?

        1. If you’re goal is to earn money, never EVER opt for interaction based payment. Always go with impressions. You create software and sell ad space on your app, you deserve to get paid. You have already done your job by creating a portal for advertisers. It is not your responsibility to insure that those creating ads to be shown on your ad space:

          A) Supplied ample effort and investment to create a quality ad
          B) Created a product that is worth advertising and downloading in the first place.

Turn up your nose to install based structure and support a monetization structure from a company that isn’t freeloading; they are getting paid by impressions they place on your app but no paying you for impressions, only install.

          Stick with admob

  2. Sounds very interesting. Our game http://www.fancycatsgame.com is using Unity Ads and I’m pretty satisfied with it. With the addition of brand ads I hope it will make Unity Ads even perform better and better. Congrats Unity!

    1. Thanks Phong! Great to know you’re pleased with our platform!

    2. HI, im new using Unity Ads but i cant make it work.. can you help me with that?

  3. Hello, if I want to implement the ADS from the Unity Engine I download it directly from the asset store? That is, I should not use the implementation from the native Unity service? Or should I implement from unity and update with this?

  4. Any plans for supporting new platforms?
