Calling Unity Creators: Be a part of Sundance 2018

Many Unity creators have achieved critically acclaimed success by participating in the Sundance Institute’s New Frontier Exhibit. Never heard of New Frontier? New Frontier was created to identify and foster independent artists working at the convergence of film, art, media, live performance, music, and technology.

Since 2007, the New Frontier exhibition at the Sundance Film Festival has provided the highest level of curation in this emerging field, showcasing transmedia art, multi-media installations, performances and films that experiment with fiction, non-fiction, and hybrid storytelling projects.

Eleven years later, New Frontier at Sundance 2018 will be just as innovative and exciting, and may even showcase your Made with Unity creation. Last year, Made with Unity virtual, mixed, and augmented reality experiences made up more than half of the lineup of New Frontier’s VR interactive experiences, including Zero Days VR by Scatter, ASTEROIDS! by Baobab Studios, Life of Us, a Within original in association with Annapurna, and Heroes by Melissa Painter to name a few.

Do you have an amazing VR, AR, or MR creation? New Frontier now has an open call for VR creators to submit to the New Frontier VR Showcase at the Sundance Film Festival. Apply by August 21st,  2017 (5:00pm PST) for a chance to be featured!

Application materials must include a 2D video and/or build of your VR piece, a presentation (pdf) that includes graphics, concept or short synopsis, detailed user experience, and specifics surrounding technological and exhibition requirements.  To make the application process even more appealing, you can get 10% off by entering promo code unity10%off.*
