Will Wright’s Proxi Art Challenge tasked artists to turn their personal memories into 3D game art, and with over a hundred outstanding submissions, we’re excited to announce that the final 8 winners have been selected. Take a look.
On March 19, Gallium Artists launched the Proxi Art Challenge on Unity Connect with intent to find a talented 3D artist to join their team. In a little less than 3 months, contest participants turned three personal memories into 3D game art.
The challenge was a true test of ability and skill, as creators developed their entire memory scenes without the use of any purchased or previously designed models. And with that being said, the community did not disappoint. The team at Gallium Artists and the entire judging panel were overwhelmed with the quality and talent that lives within the Unity community.

Unity Connect is a talent showcase and community hub for Unity creators, whether they are artists, programmers, or VR/AR developers. Hosting the Proxi Art Challenge, in conjunction with Gallium Artists, gave us the opportunity to bring the community together to share their experiences through their artist passion.
On behalf of Gallium Artists and Unity Connect, we want to thank everyone who participated in the Proxi Art Challenge.
